It’s hot outside, the air conditioners are working hard and electric bills climbing. For most of us, this isn’t a problem but for some Angelina County residents it is a financial hardship that they cannot overcome without help. I am excited and grateful for the continuing generosity of folks in Angelina County to help meet that need. Recently, Campbell Global presented a check for $7,500 to TXU to help pay the electric bills of the needy in the County. To add to that excitement, through a TXU matching grant this contribution will result in $45,000 that will be granted to the Christian Information Service Center and managed by your Love INC, all to help pay electric bills of needy families in Angelina County. Gratitude goes to the employees of Campbell Global who have given for this purpose. Over the past eight years Campbell Global contributions have made $842,000 available which has helped 4,159 families pay their electric bills.
Sometimes we have to say goodbye…
The Lufkin community recently said goodbye to a loved member when Kevin Roy, Associate Pastor at Denman Avenue Baptist Church, lost a long battle with health issues. He will be missed but we pray that his legacy of labor for the Lord will continue to bear fruit, and that his family will be comforted by this.
Pastors from two of our Love INC member churches will be moving to other work –Pastor Don Schultheis at First Church of the Nazarene and Pastor Jeff Moats at Denman Avenue Baptist Church. Both have been supporters of Love INC and involved in our community. May God bestow on them an extra portion of grace and blessing as they transition.
Love INC Board Member Rev. Aubrey Knox has resigned upon his retirement from his position at First Baptist Church Lufkin. Rev. Knox gave his time and expertise liberally to Love INC and we are better for it. We will miss him and wish him many good years of retirement.

We welcome Rev. Walker McWilliams to the Love INC Board. Rev. McWilliams is Minister of Missions at First Baptist Church Lufkin, having previously worked with Youth. We look forward to working together here at your Love INC.
