OPEN – Administrative Assistant to Executive Director

Our growing non-profit organization is looking for an Administrative Assistant to join our team. The perfect candidate will be a professed Christian, highly motivated, self-driven, and reliable.  Hours are Monday through Thursday. Bilingual in English and Spanish is a PLUS!

Qualifications:

  • Mature, professed Christian and able to agree to Apostles Creed, Statement on Scripture, Mission and Values as defined by Love INC.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills (speak clearly and effectively).
  • Speak, write, and understand English language well.
  • Must be able to effectively multitask projects and daily duties.
  • Permission to work in US, Driver’s License & Reliable transportation.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Office 365, and cloud based systems
  • Highly organized and close attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and able to work alone and with others.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to diffuse frustrated, frantic callers with compassion and understanding.
  • Ability to use office systems and troubleshoot when needed (computer, copier, printer, 10-key, phone system, voicemail, email, etc.).
  • Have a heart for serving people in our community who have multiple, and often difficult, needs.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.

Experience:

  • Office/Secretarial/Administrative Assistant: 2 years (Minimum)
  • Microsoft Office: 2 years+ (Preferred)
  • Customer Service: 1 year+ (Preferred)
  • Payroll, accounting, and Non-profit experience: 1 year (Preferred)

Responsibilities:

  • Answer incoming requests, begin assessment process, input initial demographic and request information into cloud-based data entry software.
  • Be the gatekeeper for phone calls or inquiries to the Executive Director.
  • Assist with calendar and schedule of Executive Director, Board of Directors, and all other organization meetings.
  • Assist with event planning and execution.
  • Assist with Board of Directors’ meetings and correspondence.
  • Intake all monetary donations, input donations into data entry software, maintain donation reports and correspondence.
  • Coordinate with other administration, staff and volunteers.
  • Handle accounts receivable/payable and correspond with CPA.
  • Reconcile credit card expense and maintain receipts of all expenditures.
  • Other administrative & office duties as assigned.

Education:

  • Minimum High School Diploma/GED and 21 years of age or older

Job Type:

  • Part-time (close to full-time)

 Schedule:

  • Monday – Thursday from 8 am to 4 pm, with 30-minute lunch.

  • Assist with contacting organizations, churches, or other non-profits to aid in finding help for neighbors in need.
  • Make appropriate resources to neighbors in need and be able to effectively communicate the process for receiving help.
  • Coordinate with other administration, staff and volunteers.
  • Other administrative & office duties as assigned.

Paula Havard – Executive Director

Paula Havard joined Love INC Angelina County in May of 2022. She is a 2011 Leadership Lufkin graduate and served as Executive Director of the Pregnancy Help Center of Lufkin for twenty years before joining Loving Inc. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology through Colorado Christian University and has completed training through the American Association of Christian counselors focused on coaching and mentoring individuals through difficult life events. Paula’s heart is to connect with her community and neighbors to see transformation and growth through Jesus Christ.

She says, “I am eager to see how God further equips me to do His work here at Love INC. I am so grateful for the experiences that have led me to this place. I cannot wait to see what God works through our volunteers and church connections throughout Angelina County!”

Sarah Hollinger – Connections Coordinator

Sarah came to Love INC in October 2022. Prior to coming to Love INC, she served as church secretary for nine years. Sarah holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Work from Lubbock Christian University.  Sarah brings experience in helping people in need, as well as administrative experience and understanding of church dynamics.  We are excited that Sarah has joined our team and look forward with anticipation to watching her thrive here at Love INC.
